Welcome to Navajo County Medical Reserve Corps.
The Navajo County Medical Reserve Corps was established in 2006 in response to President Bush's 2002 State of the Union Address, in which he asked all Americans to volunteer in support of their country.
The need for trained personnel to assist with emergency operations was highlighted after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Many medical professionals and non-professionals sought to support emergency relief efforts, but there was no organized approach to channel their efforts. The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) provides the structure necessary to deploy medical and nonmedical personnel in response to an emergency, as it identifies specific, trained, credentialized personnel available and ready to respond to emergencies.
The volunteers of the Navajo County Medical Reserve Corp support local response organizations and are trained in advance to assist if a disaster or public health emergency should strike in our community.
Help your community by becoming trained and standing ready.
