Navajo County Medical Reserve Corps: Become a Volunteer

Navajo County Medical Reserve Corps (NCMRC) is sponsored by the Navajo County Public Health Services District and managed by the Office of Bi-Terrorism - Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Program.  The NCMRC was established in late 2006 as the volunteer arm of the Public Health Services District to help the communities of Navajo county in times of emergencies or disasters.

In the event of an emergency or disaster, the Navajo County Medical Reserve Corps can open what we call Dispensing Sites where pharmaceuticals and treatment can be administered to the public within just a few hours notice.  There are six townships where these Dispensing Sites are located. They are: Heber/Overgaard, Holbrook, Show Low, Snowflake/Taylor, Pinetop/Lakeside, and Winslow.

Volunteers are recruited to serve the people of their community right where they live.  There are over 30 different positions from which to choose to volunteer your service ranging from physician to parking attendant, pharmacist to registration worker, triage nurse to volunteer scheduling, vaccinator to greeter, and many, many  more.
